I'm sure everyone locally will be aware that St John's Village has been in lock-down for the past few weeks due to flu epidemic.
I'm very pleased that our offer to give them a free performance has been accepted, and "The ACBA Dancers" will be doing a show for them on the 2nd October. This will be a celebration of the arrival of Spring and the much-awaited re-opening of St John's.
We are really looking forward to this "cheer up" performance and hope to see a sea of smiling faces on the day!

Our first class for Term 2 although delayed by Easter festivities was lovely and it was so good to get back to the floorboards after such a long break. I've always said that it only takes 2 weeks to lose Bellydance fitness, and last night proved it once again - I am feeling invigorated and aware of my muscles today, which is great. Thank you all for sharing our first class back. !
I've decided to change the name of the Academy after 7 years, the reason being that we ARE Creative and I believe the word Contemporary is now well and truly outdated for us. Will take some time to change every aspect of our Logo and advertising as we are so firmly entrenched in everything, but in time we will have everything tuned in.
Looking forward to our first BellyDance Basics class for this Term, which is on Wednesday 3rd May @ 6.oo. Hoping to see some familiar faces return from last Term and also hoping to have some newbees attending. It's so good to have new Students on board wanting to learn and reap the benefits of this beautiful Dance.

Our move this Term back to Wangaratta CBD has so far been a great success. We have two very committed new Basics Students who are already showing great potential, PLUS two of my most favourite Students from a year ago returned to Wednesday's class unannounced which was a great surprise!
WELCOME BACK CHIARA and AMEERA !

Having moved our classes from Wangaratta to Tarrawingee in January of this year, unfortunately I believe this has caused problems with transport and time out of Wang for some Students. I am therefore very excited to announce that we will be moving back to Wangaratta Central in time for Term 1 in 2016, YAY !
Watch this space for confirmation address details.

"The ACBA Dancers" are excited to be invited to entertain participants of this year's Relay for Life at Wangaratta showgrounds. ON at 6.15 pm on Saturday 26th, we hope our performance inspires you to do great things for this great Fundraiser. Join us post-performance for a fun activity session when KaZena and the Troupe explain and demonstrate some basic Bellydance moves for you to have a go yourselves.
Come and try ! You never know, you might just love it !

One hour FREE "come & try" Bellydance Workshop on Saturday 24th, from 9.45 to 10.45 am at our new home, Tarrawingee Hall on Great Alpine Road (right next to Golf club). Hoping to see many new ladies there to see for themselves the health benefits of Bellydance!

Sadly, our home of 5 years has become unavailable for 2015 so we have to move.
Tried everywhere in Wangaratta but to no avail, so I've decided on the beautiful Tarrawingee Hall to be our new home. It's a fabulous space with good vibes, lovely timber floor and full facilities. Also easy parking. I'm sure we'll be happy there, and perhaps this move will encourage ladies from nearby areas to join us next year.
I know "The ACBA Dancers" will enjoy the extra space so we can now practice our Isis Wings without hitting the ceiling fans all the time, YAY !
I may even consider holding a Concert there next year. It has been my dream to have a full-on Hafla showcasing our own Dancers plus other traditional and contemporary Dance styles - watch this space.

The fabulous "ACBA Dancers" will be performing for this inaugural Event on
Friday 12th December @ 5.oopm, with a fun 'come & try' session to follow at 5.30pm.
This new and exciting initiative will be brought to you by the Rural City of Wangaratta through reclaiming a dormant space at Wangaratta Government Centre on Ovens Street (opposite Woolworth's)
The pop up park will be a celebration of public gathering space. It will be a space that is funky, cool, enable people to meet, take some time out to enjoy fun, food and activities.
It is a space for everyone, so please rock up and join in the fun and frivolity!
We are hoping our entire Fan Club will be there to support us, and to join us for the free 'come & try' session straight afterwards. Come on, let's have some FUN !

Very proud to once again be performing for this ever-growing Event in Wangaratta.
KaZena is conducting 2 Workshops over the weekend: Saturday 18th @ 12.oo and Sunday 19th @ 3.oo. Everyone is very welcome to experience this beautiful Dance form with me.
"The ACBA Dancers" are performing Main Stage @ 2.oo on Sunday, and introducing some wonderful new Dancers to our Troupe.. For their first time Clare & Marli are making their marks on our Show, and Anushka & Laveika will be presenting their Solos for the first time ever. Please do come along and show your support for your local professional Bellydance Troupe, we'd love to see you there!
We do still have spaces available for our Basics class Term 4, come and see KaZena at HSHL, or contact me to book your place. Classes are conducted at the Open Door Church Hall, Yarrunga, 5.45 Thursdays.

First class of Term 3 last night was great, with more lovely ladies keen to get the 'bellydance bug'.
Have changed class times trying to suit as many Students as possible and I'm thrilled to be seeing another sucessful Term in beautiful Benalla!
